Discover TC.KYLIE: A Story of Jazz, Gaming, and Global Sounds

TC.KYLIE is a name that is presently making waves in the worldwide jazz fusion scene including elements of jazz, gaming music and influences from Hong Kong, Japan and also the UK. Her electric performances also enable her to entertain a crowd with her keyboard and synth keytar skills. This is a signature instrument in Japanese jazz rock, and Kylie plays it with a brilliant flair. Her artistic path is loaded with discovery and experimentation, influenced by Shaun Martin and Robert Glasper. Yet she develops her own sound by exploring Japanese acid jazz and by borrowing from musicians that sound both new and familiar at the very same time.

Musical Journey and Influences

TC.KYLIE was a media documentary journalist in Hong Kong before entering the music world full time. This particular role enabled her to tell people stories in a politically charged setting, and these storytelling abilities have translated to her music. Her breakout track “30% Soaked” (produced by (Howe) was a hit and also put her in the 2023 Toronto International Music Video Festival). An additional single, My Last Grief, made the 2022 Japan Indies Music Award shortlist. She plays with a band called (choku) which has gotten back-to-back Tone Music Award nominations. Her band made the Top 10 Hits and Annual music Video Awards – and that is not by chance – it was hard work along with a love of Music. Kylie’s story of shifting from journalism to music is pursuing her passion and allowing that passion to open doors to brand new opportunities.

Major Performances and Achievements

In recent years TC.KYLIE reached several major career milestones. She headlined the EFG London Jazz Festival (a career high for any artist) and supported Butcher Brown at a Jazz Cafe show. Her first instrumental album was recorded at venues including Abbey Road Studios and Lightship 95. It actually contains a rewritten version of “Merry-Go-Round of Life” by Joe Hisaishi. This particular album was released on limited edition colored vinyl and it quickly discovered international appreciation. Her performances are much more than music – they’re a window into her world. Each performance captures her energy and her distinctive style incorporating several cultures. Her instrumentals rumble and demonstrate that she can stretch the boundaries of conventional jazz with unpredicted touches. TC.KYLIE’s stage presence is not simply about the music; It is about creating an environment and also having her audience join her musical journey.

Plans and Upcoming Tours

Kylie has huge plans for future years just like her achievements to date. She will show up at SXSW London and the Hyper Japan Festival in 2025. These events follow newer offerings at the Hanwell Hootie Festival and PizzaExpress Live. She is also continuing her Asia tour with additional dates yet to be announced but still certain to provide much more of her noteworthy performances for new and old listeners alike. Her tours and concerts confirm her increasing influence in jazz fusion. Her ability to reach audiences of various backgrounds reflects her own multicultural upbringing and the universal language of music. Each event is a chance for her to tell her story and share her sound with individuals who might not have heard it just yet. Her journey is consistently evolving and her future performances may well go on to delight her target audience with the sounds and stories she’s become recognized for.
